Jake Paul plans to take legal action against those accusing him of fixing his boxing match with Anthony Joshua. The [YouTuber-turned-boxer](https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2024/aug/19/jake-paul-lawsuit-boxing-fix-accusations) now faces claims that the fight with Joshua was "scripted."
The highly talked-about bout took place at the Kaseya Center in Miami on November 19 and aired successfully via Netflix. Many watched as Anthony Joshua knocked out Paul in the sixth round, proving his dominance in the ring. Unfortunately for Jake, the tough match ended in an injury—a fractured jaw.
Despite Joshua's clear victory, accusations quickly surfaced online. Social media users have fueled rumors about a supposed secret agreement between the two fighters, alleging that Joshua promised not to knock out Paul before the sixth round. This prompted Jake Paul's legal team and Team MVP lawyers to go after those making such claims.
Nakisa Bidarian addressed these allegations during an appearance on ["The Ariel Helwani Show"](https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2024/aug/19/jake-paul-lawsuit-boxing-fix-accusations). She highlighted their intent to pursue legal action against several individuals spreading this story.
"Our lawyers are actively going after a number of people," Bidarian cautioned.In addition to anonymous online critics, promoter Joe DiBella has also drawn attention for publicly questioning not only Paul's involvement but also the truthfulness of the entire event.
"Joshua should have won in fewer than six rounds," DiBella asserted, while labeling prior comments regarding supposed agreements as "ridiculous." He added, "Nothing legit about this, Nakisa. Even if everything's 'legal,' go ahead and sue me."
In response, Bidarian defended Paul's career integrity without reservation.
