Hamzah Shiraz (22-0-1, 18 KO) and Diego Pacheco (25-0, 18 KO) will contest the vacant WBO super middleweight world title. This title previously belonged to Terence Crawford, who recently announced his retirement.

The fighters' representatives are given 20 days to negotiate the fight. If an agreement is not reached, the WBO will set a date for promotional bidding.

Pacheco's last fight ended with a unanimous decision victory over Kevin Sajo. In July, Shiraz secured a stoppage win over Edgar Berlanga.
