The director of Oleksandr Usyk's team, Sergey Lapin, commented on the potential bout between the Ukrainian and Moses Itauma.
"I wouldn't say that Usyk doesn't want to face Itauma. He is a promising fighter, and his team has worked well to bring him to his current level and ranking. But if you analyze the heavyweight situation, besides Usyk, there are many top opponents for Moses.
Itauma still has serious challenges ahead before fighting the legend. Have we seen him go all 12 rounds? Has he been in dangerous situations in the ring? My answer is no. At this stage, he doesn't have the tools to defeat Usyk," Lapin told The Ring magazine.
