Terence Crawford pulled off a big win against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez to grab all the super middleweight belts. Now, Crawford's trainer Brian 'Bomac' McIntyre thinks Canelo's not ready to quit boxing just yet.
McIntyre says Canelo's got nothing left to prove. He's already made his mark in boxing history. But that doesn't mean he should hang up his gloves.
"He has nothing to prove," McIntyre told The Ring. "Rest, get back in the gym, evaluate where you are... The man is already in history."
At 35, Canelo's been through almost 70 pro fights. That's a lot of wear and tear. But McIntyre doesn't see Canelo acting like he wants to quit. His body language and what he's saying don't point to retirement.
Canelo might keep working with Turki Alalshikh. That could mean more big fights in different parts of the world.
McIntyre's advice? Keep going while you can.
"Just take what you can from the sport. If you have two dollars or 200 million in your contract, take what you can and get out," he said.
McIntyre respects Canelo and thinks he's still got something to give in the ring.
"I'd love to see him fight again if he's got a little bit more left in the tank," McIntyre added.
Canelo's at a turning point. He's already written his name in the history books. But he might still have that hunger to compete. The boxing world's waiting to see what he'll do next.
