Chavez Jr.'s situation has caught the attention of his father, Julio Cesar Chavez, widely regarded as the best Mexican boxer in history. The elder Chavez recently traveled to Hermosillo to meet with his son at a boxing gym owned by Francisco 'Gallo' Estrada.

Speaking to the media, Chavez Sr. strongly denied his son's involvement in any criminal activities. He said:

"He's fine, thank God, right now he's clean. He is following a process outside. As he said, he is f***ing and f***ing that everything is clarified, because the truth, with all due respect, there is nothing that he is a criminal, nor that he is from a cartel, that he traffics weapons, pure bulls**t, the truth, that does not exist, but that has to be proven."

The 'Cesar del Boxeo' acknowledged his son's past struggles with addiction and questionable associations. However, he remains confident in Julio Jr.'s innocence regarding the current allegations.

"On that side I am calm, I know how my son is, if I knew that he was in that, I would accept it. It is unfair, but they are also the consequences of how he was wrong in his addiction and he hung out with these people and all that, but that he belongs to that cartel or he is a criminal or drug dealer, there is nothing of that, but that will be clarified very soon"

Chavez Jr. continues to work on clearing his name while on probation in Sonora. His father expects the allegations will be resolved in the near future, emphasizing that his son is currently clean and not involved in any criminal activities.

The boxing world watches closely as this story unfolds, with many hoping for a positive resolution for the son of one of Mexico's greatest sporting icons.
