Oleksandr Usyk's career is on the rise, and his bank account shows it. The Ukrainian boxer has racked up impressive earnings and is set for another big payday.
Usyk currently holds the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, and Ring magazine heavyweight titles. He vacated the IBF belt in June 2024, which Daniel Dubois picked up. Now, Usyk's getting ready to face Dubois on July 19, 2025, at Wembley Stadium in London. The goal? To become the undisputed champion once again.
Usyk's journey to the top has been remarkable. He unified the WBA, IBF, WBO, and Ring titles by beating Anthony Joshua in September 2021. Then, in May 2024, he grabbed the WBC belt from Tyson Fury, becoming the undisputed champion. He defended those titles against Fury again in December 2024 but gave up the IBF belt two weeks later.
The upcoming fight with Dubois isn't just about titles. It's also about a massive payday. The total purse for the fight is expected to be between $200-203 million. Usyk will get the lion's share, pocketing 65% or about $132-132.3 million. Dubois will take home 35%, around $71-71.2 million. This puts the fight among the biggest money-makers in boxing history.
Usyk's career earnings have already gone past $75 million, mainly from his fights with Fury and Joshua. His net worth is estimated at £45-48 million ($60-65 million). He's also making money from sponsorships, promotional work, and his charitable efforts in Ukraine.
"Usyk's earnings have skyrocketed since becoming heavyweight champion," said a boxing finance expert. "His fights with Joshua and Fury were huge money-makers, and this upcoming bout with Dubois will push his career earnings even higher."
Looking ahead, Usyk's got some obligations to fulfill. Joseph Parker, the WBO interim champion, is waiting in the wings as a mandatory challenger. There's also talk of a third showdown with Tyson Fury, but those negotiations are still ongoing.
Usyk's rise to the top of the heavyweight division has been impressive. From unifying titles to becoming undisputed champion, he's proven himself in the ring. Now, with his upcoming fight against Dubois, he's set to prove his worth in terms of box office appeal too.
