Keyshawn Davis gets ready to defend his World Lightweight title for the first time. The American champ will face Edwin De Los Santos on Saturday, June 7, in Norfolk. The fight will air on ESPN and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Davis, who's undefeated with a 13-0 record, won the title in February. He knocked out Denys Berinchyl in the fourth round to claim the belt. Before that, Davis fought Gustavo Lemos in Norfolk, the same city where he'll defend his title.

The champ's boxing career has been on the rise. He grabbed a silver medal at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games. Now, he's seen as one of the most promising boxers around.

De Los Santos, the challenger from the Dominican Republic, brings a 16-2 record to the ring. He started his career in his home country before moving to fight in the United States.

Last year wasn't easy for De Los Santos. He faced a scary health issue when doctors found a clot in his leg. He shared his experience:

"The doctor told me that it was something so dangerous that if I didn't treat it, it could cause me death... I was cold"

Despite this setback, De Los Santos feels confident about his chances against Davis. He's been studying the champ for a while and doesn't seem worried. He said:

"Davis moves well, but he doesn't have the same style and finesse as Shakur. It's not the same boxing prowess. I'm not worried about anything about Davis, I've been studying him for a long time"

The fight promises to be an exciting clash between a rising star and a determined challenger. Fans can tune in to ESPN or ESPN+ to catch all the action live from Norfolk on June 7.
