Shannon Briggs Boldly Predicts Canelo-Crawford Outcome: "It Won't Go Past Round 6"

Canelo, the current undisputed super-middleweight champion, recently defeated William Scull on May 3 in Riyadh. This victory made him the undisputed champion at 168lbs for the second time, adding another achievement to his already outstanding professional career.

On the other side of the ring, we've got Terence 'Bud' Crawford, an unbeaten switch-hitter who's 37 years old. Crawford's got some big goals for this fight. He wants to become a world champion in his fifth weight class and aims to be the first male boxer to win an undisputed championship in three divisions in the 'four belt era'. It's worth noting that Crawford has spent most of his career at welterweight (147lbs), so this fight at super-middleweight (168lbs) will be his first above 154lbs.

Former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs shared his thoughts on the upcoming match. He's putting his money on Crawford. Speaking to Fight Hype, Briggs said:

"Crawford all day! Crawford all day. He might stop him, I'm gonna bet, and I don't even bet. My son be doing all the betting, I don't do too much betting, but I'm gonna tell you, Crawford's gonna stop him, stoppage, stoppage! I'm telling you, stoppage, I'm telling you I'm sticking with that, he's gonna stop him, knock out! I'm rarely wrong."

This fight is a big deal for both boxers, but it's an especially important opportunity for Crawford to make his mark in boxing history. We'll have to wait and see if Briggs' prediction comes true or if Canelo will keep his undisputed champion status.
