Tyson Fury Delivers Blunt Verdict on Controversial Usyk-Dubois Moment: "The Truth Is The Truth"

Fury's comments come as Usyk and Dubois get ready for their big rematch in July at Wembley Stadium. Usyk holds three of the four major belts, while Dubois has the IBF title. The winner will become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

In their first fight, Usyk stopped Dubois in the 9th round. But there was a big argument about a body shot from Dubois that put Usyk down. The ref said it was low, and Usyk got time to recover. He then came back to win the fight.

Fury shared his thoughts with Sky Sports Boxing:

"I thought he lost [to Dubois] and he quit so he's a little, quitting [coward]. And once you quit once you'll always quit, just like we saw with Dubois. He quit too, so that was two quitters fighting each other."

Fury didn't stop there. He went into more detail about why he thinks both fighters gave up:

"It's tough to say somebody's quit but Usyk quit with a body shot and rattled around the floor like a little [coward] for five minutes and the other one quit with a jab. But the truth is the truth and that's it."

Fury thinks Usyk should have lost to Dubois. He says Usyk quit after the body shot, while Dubois quit after a jab. These are strong words from a boxer known for speaking his mind and making up nicknames for his rivals.

It's worth noting that Fury lost twice to Usyk in 2024. Now he's retired, but there's talk he might come back for a big fight with Anthony Joshua.

The rematch between Usyk and Dubois will happen two years after their first fight. There's still a lot of debate about that low blow incident. Fury thinks Dubois didn't take advantage of his early success in that fight.

We'll have to wait and see if either fighter responds to Fury's comments before their big showdown in July.
