Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford will face off in Las Vegas this September. The fight puts Canelo's unified WBC, WBA and WBO super-middleweight titles on the line and could lead to an undisputed champion in the division.

Crawford's taking a big step up, moving from welterweight all the way to 168 pounds to challenge Canelo. It's a bold move that could cement his legacy if he pulls it off.

Before the Crawford fight, Canelo's got some business to take care of. He'll face William Scull on May 3 in Riyadh for the IBF super-middleweight title. Canelo gave up this belt last year when he chose to fight Edgar Berlanga Jr instead of Scull, who was the mandatory challenger. Scull then won the vacant title by beating Vladimir Shishkin in October.

Former WBO heavyweight champ Shannon Briggs thinks Crawford's got what it takes to not just win, but to stop Canelo.

"I got Crawford by stoppage. Brutal stoppage. I'm telling you Crawford by stoppage … [Betting] 100,000 dollars? I might make a little bit of bread."

That's a bold prediction. No one's ever dropped or stopped Canelo in his 66 fights. He's only lost twice - both on points to Floyd Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol. Canelo's known for having one of the best chins in boxing.

Crawford's moving up two weight classes for this fight. It's a huge challenge, but if he pulls it off, it'll be one for the history books.

News of the fight first came out at the start of the year, and fans have been buzzing ever since. September can't come soon enough for boxing enthusiasts eager to see these two pound-for-pound greats square off.
