Unified welterweight champion Jaron Ennis has spoken out about his win over Eimantas Stanionis.

"I think I made a statement with this win. But I want to go home and review the fight in peace. I felt at the time of the stoppage that I was just getting into my rut, starting to relax and enjoy what was happening in the ring, and my father had instructed me to keep pressing him, but the referee called the end of the fight. As soon as I decided to knock him out in the seventh round, the stoppage happened.

The craziest thing was that I dreamed I was going to stop him like that, in the seventh round..... it happened," Boxing Scene quoted Ennis as saying.

Recall that on April 13, Ennis won early against Stanionis. After the sixth round, the latter's corner threw in the towel.
