Badou Jack wants to fight Oleksandr Usyk. The former three-weight world champion called it a "perfect fight" if he moves up to heavyweight.

Jack, now 41, won the WBC cruiserweight title in February 2023 when he stopped Ilunga Makabu. He's set to defend that belt on May 3 against Noel Mikaelian on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs William Scull.

Usyk has cleared out two divisions. He became undisputed cruiserweight champion in 2018 before moving up to heavyweight. There, he beat Anthony Joshua twice, knocked out Daniel Dubois, and outpointed Derek Chisora. In 2024, he completed the set by defeating Tyson Fury twice to become undisputed champion.

The Ukrainian is now thinking about his final fights. He wants to rematch Dubois, who now holds the IBF belt, and try to become a two-time undisputed champion. That's never been done in the four-belt era.

Jack told Sky Sports Boxing:

"Definitely, he's the best pound-for-pound, he's an amazing fighter, we fought in the amateurs many years ago, that would be a perfect fight for me at heavyweight if I ever go to heavyweight."

The two boxers have talked about fighting before. A couple of years ago they discussed it, but nothing came of it. Jack says he'll need at least two or three more tough fights before he'd consider taking on Usyk.

Usyk is seen as one of the best boxers of his generation. He won Olympic Gold as an amateur and has dominated as a pro. Jack has won world titles at super-middleweight and light-heavyweight before his current reign at cruiserweight.
