The cameraman flinched hard, clearly scared for a moment. Everyone else in the gym burst out laughing. A punch from Canelo, even in jest, could cause some real pain if it landed. Alvarez couldn't help but smile, getting exactly the reaction he wanted.
"I got you good there, didn't I?" Alvarez said to the cameraman, still chuckling.
This moment shows that Alvarez isn't always 100 percent serious. He knows when to let his guard down and joke around, especially with the people close to him. It's a side of the champ fans don't always get to see.
But when May 3 rolls around, Alvarez will be all business. He'll need to be at his best to defend his titles against the hungry challenger Scull. With the Crawford fight waiting in the wings, Alvarez can't afford any slip-ups.
