David Adeleye and Jeamie Tshikeva are set to fight for the British heavyweight title. The bout will take place on April 5, 2025, at Co-op Live in Manchester.
The clash between Adeleye and Tshikeva will be part of the undercard for the Joe Joyce vs Filip Hrgovic fight. Both fighters come into this match with recent impressive wins under their belts.
Adeleye, nicknamed "Big D," boasts a record of 13 wins and 1 loss, with 12 of those victories coming by knockout. He last stepped into the ring against Solomon Dacres, knocking him out in the first round to claim the English title. This will be Adeleye's second shot at the British heavyweight title, after an unsuccessful attempt against Fabio Wardley in 2023.
Tshikeva, known as "TKV," holds a record of 8 wins and 1 loss, with 5 knockouts to his name. He's coming off a victory in early February, where he defeated Michael Webster in the ninth round. This fight marks Tshikeva's first attempt at the British heavyweight title.
The title became available after previous holder Fabio Wardley vacated it. Wardley has entered negotiations with Kubrat Pulev for the WBA 'Regular' title, with that fight expected to happen in the summer, according to Ring Magazine.
Both Adeleye and Tshikeva have crossed paths before, having measured their strength in the gym. Now, they'll get the chance to settle things in the ring with a title on the line.
The event kicks off at 19:00 BST (14:00 ET, 11:00 PT) on April 5, with the main event ringwalks expected around 21:00 BST (16:00 ET, 13:00 PT).
Fans can catch the action on DAZN. A subscription is required to watch. In the US, DAZN offers an annual plan for $224.99 or a Flexible Monthly Pass at $29.99, which can be canceled at any time.
"Both fighters have measured their strength in the gym before," a source close to the fighters said. "Now they'll get to settle it in the ring with a title on the line. It's going to be an exciting fight."
With both Adeleye and Tshikeva coming off strong performances, this British heavyweight title clash promises to deliver an action-packed fight for boxing fans.
