On June 27, Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs) will return to the ring with a fight at an event in Kansas. The choice of not the strongest Anthony Herndon (24-5, 15 KOs) as the opponent of "The Bronze Bomber" caused a lot of controversy among fans. However, the former WBC heavyweight champion himself is convinced that the process of restoring his career is carefully planned.

"Right now my goal is to find out where I am at this moment, what I'm capable of doing. It's a good choice of opponent. We have a few fights planned for this year. Maybe three. The next one will be a big one, overseas, and then something else for the end of the year. I just need to get myself together," explained "Bombardier" from Alabama.

Deontay Wilder last boxed last June, losing by knockout to Zhang Zhilei. He had previously lost on points to Joseph Parker.
