Briedis: "Gervonta is very star-struck."

Former world champion Mairis Briedis has spoken out about the fight between WBA lightweight titleholder Gervonta Davis and Lamont Roach.

Briedis believes Davis underperformed in this fight due to stardom.

"What surprised me really? Davis is very much star-struck because in America his fight on pay-per-view cost $80 dollars. That's a huge amount of money. The undercard was so-so. The opponent himself was also considered nothing. Basically, it was a passable fight. And karma, and star disease, and many other things - here, please, the result," - said Briedis on his YouTube channel.
