Davis explained why their fight with Lomachenko did not take place

WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis has suggested why their fight with Vasyl Lomachenko didn't happen.

"In the back of my mind, I always thought it was going to happen and we wouldn't meet in the ring. Like, 'Heck, Lomachenko was a fighter I needed to fight or was asked to fight.'

I thought Vasyl didn't like it when people were saying like he was scared so he wasn't going to fight me or something like that. That's not the case. Lomachenko just got older, he has kids and he thinks more about them," Marca quotes Davis as saying.
