According to American journalist Dan Raphael, the Premier Boxing Champions boxing night, which took place on February 1 in Las Vegas, sold 150,000 pay-per-view broadcasts in the United States. The main event was a fight between David Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) and David Morrell (11-1, 9 KOs).

The fight ended with Benavides winning on points, making him the official challenger for the winner of the rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.

The event was broadcast in the United States by streaming service Amazon Prime. It was the first PBC night of the year. The same event also featured, among other things, a WBC featherweight title fight between Steven Fulton and Brandon Figueroa.
