White: "Joshua made a huge mistake in turning down a rematch with Dubois"

British super featherweight Dillian Whyte believes Anthony Joshua should not have refused an immediate rematch with their IBF featherweight champion Daniel Dubois.

"I think he made a huge mistake when he didn't agree to an immediate rematch with Dubois. It was a title fight, a great check and a perfect opportunity to avenge a knockout loss. Joshua will suffer for the rest of his life because of the memes of him lying face down on the canvas after punching Dubois at Wembley.

When I lost to Alexander Povetkin, I stormed into Eddie Hearn's interview on my way to my locker room and demanded an immediate rematch. Nothing matters until I beat my opponent in a rematch. It's a matter of attitude. I want to fight AJ and Tyson Fury, because they both beat me, although with Anthony Joshua we have a score of 1:1 (Dillian Whyte beat Anthony on amateurs - note)," - said White to Sky Sports.
.

Recall that in September Dubois knocked out Joshua in the fifth round in the main event of an evening of boxing at London's Wembley Stadium.
