Britain's Joe Joyce (16-3, 15 KOs), the former interim WBO heavyweight champion who defeated Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker, will return to the ring on March 1 at Queensberry Promotions' Boxing Night in Bournemouth.

"The Juggernaut's" opponent has not yet been announced. In his last appearance in the pro ring in July, Joyce lost to his compatriot Dereck Chisora. For the 39-year-old Brit, it was the third defeat in his last four fights in a row.

Until recently, Joyce was on his way to the top of world boxing, but in April 2023 he lost for the first time in his professional career to Chinese Zhilei Zhang. The fight was canceled in the sixth round after being examined by a doctor at ringside. An immediate rematch took place five months later, but ended even more devastatingly for Joyce as he refused to go to the floor and lost early in the third round.

Even before the loss to Chisora, some fans were calling for "The Juggernaut" to hang up the gloves after his losses to Zhang, but he will continue to fight and has already announced the date of his next fight.

The main event of the evening on March 1 will be Ryan Garner fighting Salvador Jimenez for the European featherweight title.
