Oleksandr Usyk kept his heavyweight titles in a hard-fought rematch against Tyson Fury. The Ukrainian champ won by unanimous decision in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but the scoring has got everyone talking.
All three judges saw it 116-112 for Usyk. He's still got the WBC, WBA, and WBO belts around his waist. Fury, known as 'The Gypsy King', didn't take the loss well. He was angry about the result and said he should've won.
Legendary boxing analyst Teddy Atlas shared his thoughts on the fight. He agreed with the judges, also scoring it 116-112 for Usyk.
"The judges got it right. I don't understand all these people talking about robbery."
Atlas broke down how he saw the fight. He gave Usyk six straight rounds from the sixth on. Fury got the last round, but Atlas felt Usyk was in control for most of the second half.
"From the sixth round on Usyk does what he usually does. He had a bad fifth round and what does he do? He responds. He finds a way to win."
Atlas didn't stop there. In another interview, he praised Usyk's skills and place in boxing history.
"Are you kidding me? He's earned the right to be mentioned with all the top guys. He's one of the great winners of our era … There's not one thing he doesn't do real well. There's not one weakness."
Oscar De La Hoya was at the fight too. The boxing legend had his own thoughts on who should've won, but we don't know what he said yet.
This rematch has got everyone in boxing talking. Fans and experts will keep debating this one for a while. It's clear Usyk vs Fury delivered another classic heavyweight battle.
