Shakur Stevenson thinks Tyson Fury will win his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. The pound-for-pound star and three-weight world champion gives Fury a slight edge, but he's not counting Usyk out.
Usyk and Fury will meet again in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Their first fight in May went the full twelve rounds, with Usyk winning by split decision. The Ukrainian started well, had Fury almost out on his feet in the ninth, and finished strong to become the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis.
The fighters have arrived in Riyadh for the rematch. Fury wants to stop Usyk this time, taking the decision out of the judges' hands. That plan has worked for him in past rematches.
Usyk moved up to heavyweight after becoming undisputed at cruiserweight. He's still undefeated, which makes picking against him tough.
Stevenson shared his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter):
"I like Fury for the second fight … Usyk [is] so great though bro, it's so hard going against him over the course of a 12 round fight. I'm like 55-45 Fury on this one. All Fury gotta do is come in shape and stay focused for the entire fight!"
Fury plans to fight Usyk three times. He wants to prove he's the best heavyweight of his generation.
