Former world champion Carl Froch shared his opinion on what Dmitry Bivol needs to change in his rematch with all-time flyweight titleholder Artur Beterbiev.
"I can't wait for the rematch. Maybe, if it's the right way to put it, Bivol should be more interested in the end of the fight. I think he needs to throw more punches in the 10th, 11th and 12th rounds because he was slow to finish the fight.
Beterbiev imposed the fight on him, it seemed like he wanted to be in there more, trying to win, trying to get that win. The judges liked that. When they see someone coming forward and trying to finish their work and give the fight, they tend to give them the rounds. That could have been Bivol's downfall in that fight, but he didn't deserve to lose based on that alone," Froch said on his podcast.
Recall that the rematch between Beterbiev and Bivol will take place on February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
