Jaron 'Boots' Ennis kept his IBF welterweight title in a rematch with Karen Chukhadzhian. The fight went down in early November at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Ennis' hometown.

Ennis won by unanimous decision, but some fans weren't too happy with his performance. He did manage to drop Chukhadzhian in the fifth round, though.

This was round two for these fighters. They first met in January 2023, when Ennis won every round on the scorecards. This time, Chukhadzhian gave Ennis a bit more trouble.

After the fight, Chukhadzhian spoke to 4our Corners Boxing about Ennis' power:

"He is very powerful. In the first fight I didn't take so much damage, but this fight I felt his punches, he punched so hard. You can see the result on my face. If I didn't take a knee, he would knock me out."

Ennis' record now stands at 33 wins, no losses, with 29 knockouts. It's worth noting that Chukhadzhian is the only fighter since 2017 who's managed to go the distance with Ennis twice.

There's talk about what's next for 'Boots'. Word on the street is he might move up to 154lbs for a fight with Vergil Ortiz. If it happens, they'll be fighting for the WBC interim super-welterweight championship. The fight could land in Saudi Arabia come February, but nothing's set in stone yet.
