Tyson Fury has big plans for his boxing future, starting with his upcoming rematch against Oleksandr Usyk on December 21. The fight will have a major impact on Fury's career and legacy.

Fury's last bout with Usyk in May 2023 didn't go his way. He suffered his first loss as Usyk won by split decision, seriously hurting Fury in the ninth round. Usyk walked away with all four belts, becoming a four-belt champion in a second division and taking Fury's WBC title.

Now deep in camp for the immediate rematch, Fury's confidence is high. He's not just focused on winning back his belts, but he's already thinking about what comes next.

In a recent interview on the Pound for Pound podcast, Fury shared his plans:

"When I beat Usyk the next time. God willing I do what I believe I can do. My own promoter said to me today in an interview 'you win this, you're back on top and there's no talking point, that's it, you put it behind you.'"

But Fury doesn't see it that way. He's adamant about a third fight with Usyk, regardless of the outcome in December:

"And I said no, Frank, that's not what we're going to do. When I win this fight with Usyk then there has to be a third fight. There has to be. Because if you win one and I win one then there has to be a third fight."

Fury believes a trilogy is necessary to settle the score once and for all:

"Regardless who won the second one, there has to be a third fight to see who is the best out of us two. One each, one decider. And that's what I'll look for after that. And after that's done, next year in maybe February or March, then I'll look for the winner of the rematch between AJ and Dubois."

Many fans and pundits thought Anthony Joshua might be next in line for Fury, win or lose against Usyk. But Fury clearly doesn't agree. He's got his sights set on completing the trilogy with Usyk before considering other opponents.

Joshua recently failed in his attempt to become a three-weight world champion when Daniel Dubois knocked him out. Now, Fury sees the winner of their rematch as a potential future opponent, but only after he settles things with Usyk.

Fury's got a clear plan: win the rematch in December, complete the trilogy with Usyk early next year, and then look towards other challengers. It's an ambitious schedule that could cement his legacy as one of the greatest heavyweights of all time.
