Anthony Joshua's dream of becoming a three-time world heavyweight champion ended in a shocking defeat at Wembley. Daniel Dubois knocked out the former champion in the fifth round of their September clash.

The fight started badly for Joshua. Dubois floored him at the end of the first round, a blow from which Joshua never fully recovered. The packed Wembley crowd watched as Dubois continued to dominate, eventually stopping Joshua in the fifth.

This loss marks Joshua's fourth career defeat. He previously lost to Andy Ruiz Jr (which he later avenged) and twice to Oleksandr Usyk. Meanwhile, Dubois has been on a tear. He stopped Fillip Hrgovic in June and finished Jarrell Miller in the final seconds of a 10-round contest in Saudi Arabia last December.

Roy Jones Jr, the former multi-weight champion, shared his thoughts on the fight during the Overdogs podcast. He had some advice for Joshua:

"First he'd learn a lesson that you don't run up on a wounded animal, cause a wounded animal is a dangerous animal. There are so many lessons he could have learned from me that would have probably saved his life in the fight."

Jones Jr added:

"When a man is in your distance, use your arms to keep distance so he can't come to your face."

The boxing legend revealed he had considered working with Joshua:

"So many things I could have did but the mistake he made for me, when I asked him about it, he said he want to come see me. Then I talked to him again he was out with Derrick James and I said if you're getting along good, don't worry about it, I don't want you to be confused. I backed off it and I'm kind of glad I did."

After the fight, Joshua initially talked about an immediate rematch. However, promoters Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren have recently cast doubt on that possibility. The future remains uncertain for Joshua, who aimed to join Muhammad Ali in the exclusive club of three-time world heavyweight champions.
