Artur Beterbiev became the undisputed light-heavyweight champion this month. He beat Dmitry Bivol in Saudi Arabia, a fighter Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez wanted to face next.

Canelo, the unified super-middleweight champion, has only lost twice in his 66 fights. He's never been knocked down in the ring. In 2022, Canelo moved up to light-heavyweight to fight Bivol, who was the WBA World Light-Heavyweight Champion at the time. Bivol won that fight by unanimous decision.

The recent Beterbiev-Bivol fight was close. Beterbiev won by majority decision. It's the first time one of his professional fights has gone the distance.

Now, Bivol wants a rematch with Beterbiev. Meanwhile, people are wondering what Canelo will do next. He might move up in weight again to fight Beterbiev, but some think he's not as hungry for these challenges anymore. He might also reconsider fighting Terence Crawford.

Ryan Garcia shared his thoughts on social media. He called the Beterbiev-Bivol result a robbery and said Canelo would beat Beterbiev.

If Canelo and Beterbiev did fight, it would be exciting. Both fighters like to pressure their opponents and control the ring. Canelo has a tough chin, and Beterbiev has strong punching power. But this fight probably won't happen soon, if at all.
