Former world boxing champion in the first heavyweight division Mairis Briedis said that he would like to see a fight between the IBF belt holder in this division Jai Opetaia and the absolute champion in the light heavyweight category Artur Beterbiev.
"Imagine a fight that could be a real war: Artur Beterbiev goes up to the cruiserweight division and faces Jay Opetaia. As someone who has stood against Jay in the ring, I can say - it would be a brutal fight. Beterbiev is not just a puncher, it's constant pressure, and Opetaia is a fighter who, even with a broken jaw goes all the way. I know this from my own experience," - wrote Briedis in Instagram.
Recall that last weekend Beterbiev won on points over Dmitry Bivol and unified in his hands all the titles in the flyweight division.
