Anthony Joshua faces a big decision about his next fight after losing to Daniel Dubois. The knockout loss at Wembley Stadium in September has put Joshua in a tough spot.
Joshua got knocked out in the fifth round by Dubois. He lost his chance to win the IBF heavyweight title. This defeat hit Joshua hard. It's his fourth loss as a pro. Before this, he lost twice to Oleksandr Usyk and once to Andy Ruiz Jr in a surprise upset back in 2019.
Now, Joshua has to figure out what to do next. He could try to fight Dubois again. Or he might look for a different opponent. There's even talk about a possible fight with Tyson Fury. But that depends on how Fury does against Usyk in December.
David Price, who used to be the British heavyweight champion, thinks Joshua should go for a rematch with Dubois. Price says it's a good move no matter what happens.
"That's win-win for AJ because he has already been knocked out by him [Dubois]."
Price explains that if Joshua wins the rematch, he fixes his mistakes right away. If he loses again, well, it's already happened once anyway. Either way, Joshua could still get big fights later on.
"Absolute win win."
Right now, Joshua will probably wait to see what happens between Fury and Usyk before he decides what to do next. Joshua, a two-time champion, wants to get back on top. Meanwhile, Fury has been talking about whether he still wants to fight Joshua.
Joshua's recent loss has really shaken up his career plans. He's got some big choices to make as he tries to bounce back from this setback.
