Eddie Hearn and Devin Haney got into a heated argument at the Joshua-Dubois fight in September 2024. The clash started when Haney criticized Hearn on social media for not giving him tickets to the event.

Haney and Hearn used to work together. Hearn's company, Matchroom, helped Haney become a world champion in 2019. But their relationship soured after Haney left Matchroom.

The trouble began when Haney sent Hearn a message saying "yo" 24 hours before the fight. Hearn didn't reply because he was busy. Then, at 6 AM on fight day, Haney asked Hearn for tickets to the Joshua fight. Hearn told him tickets weren't available and suggested he contact Riyadh Season instead.

Later that day, Haney took to Twitter to express his frustration. He posted:

"Wow I'm n London.. Eddie Hearn won't give me tickets to the fight but keep mentioning me every chance he get… Eddie the fakest nigga I ever met bro"

Hearn quickly fired back on Twitter:

"You asked me at 6am this morning. First I look after my fighters. Ask someone else and drop the arrogance."

The situation escalated when the two met ringside at the Joshua-Dubois fight. Hearn pulled Haney aside for a heated conversation. He told Boxing News what happened:

"What do you think you're doing? One, you couldn't be more arrogant, two, why aren't you messaging me asking if I'm sure I can't sort something out? Instead you put a Tweet out? You're like a little kid, you used to be a good kid you did, now I don't like this arrogance I'm seeing from you. Don't ever do that again"

When Haney tried to defend himself, Hearn shot back:

"You have, so don't ever disrespect me again"

Hearn explained that inner ringside tickets were pre-assigned months in advance. He was upset by Haney's public criticism, given their history together.

"It was heated. Bear in mind the relationship I've got with Devin, bear in mind everything we've been through, I could not believe he would put that out on social media."

Haney hasn't responded to Hearn's comments yet. The promoter shared details of their argument in an interview with Boxing News.

This clash shows how quickly relationships in boxing can turn sour. It's a reminder that even successful partnerships can fall apart over seemingly small issues.
