Daniel Dubois stunned the boxing world by stopping Anthony Joshua in five rounds at Wembley Stadium. The fight, watched by 96,000 fans, saw Dubois successfully defend his IBF World Heavyweight Title.

Dubois got his chance at the belt after Oleksandr Usyk vacated it. The Ukrainian had previously beaten both Dubois and Joshua, stopping 'Dynamite' in mid-2023.

From the opening bell, Dubois threw crisp, hurtful jabs and moved aggressively. He landed shots with serious intent, dropping 'AJ' multiple times. Joshua never looked comfortable in the ring, though he had a brief flash of success just before the end.

"Yes good performance [by Dubois]. No shock, it's boxing. It's boxing guys."

Usyk gave this statement to Boxing Social after the fight. He had backed Joshua to win beforehand.

Dubois wasted no time in calling for a rematch with Usyk. But obstacles might stand in the way of that fight. Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed Joshua has a rematch clause, which he's now considering. Usyk has also said he's only interested in fights against Tyson Fury or 'AJ'.

The new champion might end up facing the winner of Usyk's rematch with Tyson Fury, set for December this year.

Joshua will take some time to recover from this loss. We'll have to wait and see if he decides to use his rematch clause.
