Froch and Joshua go way back. They used to be teammates in Team GB and even shared the same coach, Rob McCracken. But their relationship has had its ups and downs. When Joshua left McCracken after his first loss to Usyk, Froch thought it was a bad move.
Things got a bit heated between them last summer. Froch shared some not-so-nice messages they had exchanged. He called Joshua "spoiled" and said he had "lost a bit of class." But don't worry, they've sorted things out since then.
Right now, Joshua's got a fight coming up against Daniel Dubois for the IBF title. But Froch's not impressed. He thinks whoever wins will just be a paper champion. He believes the belt should still be Usyk's, who gave it up to keep three of the four heavyweight titles.
Usyk's got his own plans. He's set for a rematch with Tyson Fury later this year. But he might be open to a third fight with Joshua if they both win their upcoming matches.
Joshua's got a new trainer now, Ben Davison. And Davison's keen on taking on Usyk again, even though Joshua's lost to him twice before.
But Froch doesn't think Joshua stands a chance. On his show "Froch on Fighting," he didn't hold back:
"Forget it. He ain't beating Usyk. He's lost to him twice already. 24 rounds of a beat down. I'm not just digging out AJ here. He's been outclassed twice by Usyk, he can't beat Usyk, he's tried and failed twice."
Even with all this talk, Turki Alalshikh from Riyadh Season still wants to make the big Joshua-Fury fight happen, no matter how things turn out.
