Shakur Stevenson thinks Gervonta Davis would knock out Devin Haney if they fought. Stevenson's opinion carries weight because he's sparred with both fighters.

Davis, Haney, and Stevenson are part of a group of top young American boxers. Fans want to see them fight each other in the lightweight and super-lightweight divisions.

Recently, Haney moved up to super-lightweight and won the WBC belt from Regis Prograis. He gave up his undisputed lightweight status to do this. Stevenson grabbed the vacant WBC lightweight belt by beating Edwin De Los Santos. Davis got upgraded to the sole WBA champion at lightweight.

In an interview, Stevenson didn't mince words about how he sees a Davis-Haney fight going:

"Tank. Tank by knockout. He's gonna knock his ass out. He gonna sleep him. He's been hurt by Linares."

Stevenson's prediction isn't coming out of nowhere. Haney got dropped three times in his fight with Ryan Garcia. Garcia was overweight for that fight and later tested positive for a banned substance, which turned Haney's loss into a No Contest. But it showed Haney can be hurt.

Davis, on the other hand, had a pretty easy time beating Garcia. They fought at a catch weight of 136 pounds with a 10-pound rehydration limit.

Right now, Haney is the WBC 140-pound champion in recess. He might fight IBF champ Liam Paro later this year. Davis plans to fight again in November, but we don't know who against yet. Stevenson will defend his lightweight title against Joe Cordina on October 12.

With all these fighters active and in similar weight classes, we might see some of these matchups become reality soon.
