Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson might face off in one of boxing's most exciting matchups. The two unbeaten lightweight champions have very different styles, making their potential clash a must-see event.
Stevenson recently signed a deal with Matchroom Boxing. He's got a three-fight plan lined up. First, he'll take on Joe Cordina on October 12. After that, he's set to face William Zepeda, the number one contender. The big one comes last - a unification bout with 'Tank' Davis.
Former lightweight champ George Kambosos Jr. thinks he knows how a Davis-Stevenson fight will end. He's so sure, he's willing to put his money where his mouth is.
[I'll bet] a million he knocks [Shakur's] buck teeth out cold. Wont happen though, Shakur just talks. Maybe if it's 5 on 1 like his little street fight.
Kambosos didn't stop there. He also said Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez, and Vasiliy Lomachenko would beat Stevenson. It's worth noting that all three of these fighters have beaten Kambosos in the past.
Stevenson fired back at Kambosos on social media. He called the Australian a "one-hit wonder" and said he might never win another fight. This came after Kambosos won a controversial decision over Maxi Hughes. Stevenson thought Hughes should have got the nod in that one.
While all this talk is going on, 'Tank' Davis is getting ready for his next fight. The knockout artist from Baltimore is expected to step into the ring in November, but his opponent hasn't been named yet.
