Shakur Stevenson Fires Back at Canelo's Bold Prediction: "He's Never Seen Me Fight"

Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson are two undefeated lightweight champions who could face each other in a major fight. Canelo Alvarez recently shared his thoughts on who'd win between the two American stars.

Alvarez backed Davis to come out on top in the potential clash. In an interview with Sway's Universe, the Mexican superstar explained his prediction.

"Shakur Stevenson is a good fighter, he moves a lot and it's very difficult to hit him but I like Gervonta Davis, he's a really good fighter. He hits hard and he knows how to go forward. I put my money on Gervonta."

Stevenson responded respectfully to Alvarez's opinion on social media, saying: "Can't be mad at that respectful opinion, we will find out when the fight happen. Chasing Greatness."

Davis, known as 'Tank', has built a reputation for his raw power. He's knocked out 28 of his 30 opponents so far. His calculated game plans have led to some spectacular finishes.

Stevenson, on the other hand, relies more on his defensive skills. He's undefeated in 22 fights and has made a name for himself by being hard to hit.

The fight isn't scheduled yet and might not happen until 2025. Both fighters have other plans for now. Stevenson is set to face William Zepeda, the number one contender in the division.

Davis was supposed to rematch Isaac Cruz, but those plans fell through when Cruz lost his super-lightweight world title to Jose Valenzuela this month.

Earlier, Vasily Lomachenko backed out of talks with Davis, which left Stevenson without an opponent. Now, fans will have to wait to see if the two American champions will eventually meet in the ring.
