Former light heavyweight boxing world champion Oleksandr Gvozdik outlined the prospects of compatriot Denis Berinchik in the lightweight division.
In May, Berinchik defeated Emmanuel Navarrete by split decision of the judges to become the WBO lightweight champion of the world.
"When boxers become world champions, they immediately add 20% to their skill set. It has to do with the mental perception of the situation - when you feel like a champion. We can still see very cool fights in Denis' performance. I heard that Berinchik is not very disciplined outside the ring, but in the ring he is a 100% disciplined boxer. Today he can compete with top lightweights: both Stevenson and Gervonta", - Gvozdik believes.
