Danny Garcia Knows Who Wins Gervonta Davis-Shakur Stevenson: “He is too strong”

Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson keep fans waiting for their big lightweight fight. Both champions have very different styles, making it an interesting match-up that people want to see.

Davis hits hard. He's knocked out 28 of his 30 opponents. Only two fighters have lasted the whole fight with him. Stevenson, on the other hand, moves well and is hard to hit. He's stopped 45% of his opponents, which isn't as impressive as Davis' record.

The fight looked like it might happen when Davis' talks with Vasiliy Lomachenko fell through. But both fighters say reports about a November fight aren't true. It looks like we'll have to wait longer for this one.

Danny Garcia, who's won world titles in two weight classes, thinks Davis will win if they do fight. He told Fight Hub TV:

"That's a great fight. I like Tank. I think Tank is too strong at that weight for anybody, but skill-for-skill I think it's a great fight."

Some people in boxing think it's a problem that this all-American unification fight between two unbeaten champions isn't happening soon. There's hope we might see it in 2025.

For now, Stevenson is thinking about fighting William Zepeda, his number one challenger, later this year. Davis was looking at a rematch with Isaac Cruz, but that's less likely now. Cruz just lost his super-lightweight world title to Jose Valenzuela, which makes the rematch less appealing.
