Top featherweight prospect Virgil Ortiz believes Terence Crawford will beat WBA world champion Israil Madrimov in his division.
"Here's the thing: I'm not criticizing Madrimov. I think he's a good and smart fighter. It's just that Crawford is a different beast. I don't think anybody but me can beat him at featherweight. He's a top fighter, probably number one in the pound-for-pound rankings. There's Crawford, Usyk, Inoue. Picking a number one between them is like flipping a coin. Let's say Crawford is number one right now.
I don't think Madrimov will beat him. That doesn't mean I don't think Madrimov is a good fighter. I just don't think he's capable of beating Crawford," Ortiz said in an interview with YouTube channel Fight Hub TV.
Recall that the fight Crawford vs. Madrimov will take place on August 3 in Las Vegas.
