An insider has named Canelo's next opponent

Mike Coppinger, a well-known journalist and insider, has reported that Edgar Berlanga will be Saul Alvarez's next opponent.

"Canelo Alvarez, boxing's top star, is finalizing a deal to defend his second middleweight title against Edgar Berlanga. The fight will take place Sept. 14 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, ESPN sources said. "This fight will take place at the same time as UFC 306 at the Sphere Arena in Las Vegas," Coppinger wrote on his X social media page.
