WBC head Mauricio Sulaiman announced on platform X that he is removing Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) from the organization he runs. From now on, "King Paradise" will not be able to participate in fights sanctioned by the World Boxing Council and will not be classified in its rankings.

"We reject all forms of discrimination. We are concerned about Ryan's condition and he has repeatedly rebuffed our attempts to help with his mental health and substance abuse issues," Suleiman wrote.

The WBC president's decision stems from further racist and homophobic remarks by the boxer, who has insulted Jews, African-Americans and homosexuals in recent days. Garcia stated, among other things, "I hate Negroes, I'm against blacks, KKK. Let's bring George Floyd back to life and kill that Negro again!"
