Stevenson: "Harutyunyan is a good fighter, but he'll be dealing with a different beast on July 6"

American WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs) shared his expectations for his fight with German representative Artem Harutyunyan (12-1, 7 KOs).

"Artem is a good fighter, but he will be dealing with a different beast on July 6. He will face a very motivated opponent. Now I have a grudge against everyone, so I'm going to put on a show.

It's all the fault of people who are always talking about me. I have built up frustration because I have proved many times who I am, but I have not been properly recognized. We'll see what happens when I face a tough fighter once again.

Even when I deal with Harutyunyan, people will find a reason to criticize me. They'll call Artem a pizza delivery guy. They will find a reason to take away my merits, they will say that I beat the wrong opponent. I know that one day I have the opportunity to prove otherwise," said Stevenson.

The fight will take place July 6 in Newark. For Shakur, it will be his first fight since last November.
