Dubois is promoted to full IBF champion

Britain's Daniel Dubois has been promoted to full IBF world heavyweight champion after Oleksandr Usyk voluntarily vacated his title.

Usyk became the first outright heavyweight champion in 25 years when he defeated Tyson Fury in May, but has now relinquished his IBF belt just over a month later. According to boxing reporter Dan Raphael, Dubois, who won the vacant IBF title thanks to an early victory over Filip Hrgovic in May, is now a full champion.

Dubois is expected to make the first defense of his title against former unified champion Anthony Joshua on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London.
