Iglesias and Volnoy scored early victories

Super middleweight boxer Osleys Iglesias (11-0, 10 KOs) scored another quick victory. The 26-year-old Cuban knocked out Evgeny Shvedenko (16-2-1, 7 KOs) in the first round at a boxing night held in Montreal, Canada. The fight ended after a spectacular right hook by Iglesias. Shvedenko collapsed like a hamstring, and for a long time could not recover, continuing to "box" on the floor.

In March, Iglesias knocked out Marcelo Coseres the same way in the first round.

In the main event of the evening, organized in Montreal, Patrice Volny (19-1, 13 KOs) defeated Steven Butler (34-5-1, 28 KOs) by technical knockout in the ninth round. At stake in the fight was the WBC Francofon middleweight championship belt.
