A fight between Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) and interim IBF world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) could take place on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London.
Joshua was already given a date to return to the ring a few weeks ago, and his opponent was supposed to be the winner of Saturday's fight between Dubois and Filip Hrgovic. The stakes of the fight will likely be the full IBF heavyweight championship belt, which will have been taken away from Oleksandr Usyk by then.
Joshua last boxed in March, knocking out Francis Ngannou in the second round. Last year, the Briton had three victorious fights.
