UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has made it clear that he is not interested in a second fight with Arman Tsarukyan, but is ready to do so if that is the will of the promotion.
On the night of June 2 at UFC 302 in Newark, USA, Makhachev defeated Dustin Puryear by fifth-round choke. The Dagestani's next opponent is expected to be Stan Tsarukyan, whom he already defeated in April 2019.
"I'm ready to fight Tsarukyan. Dana has my number - let him call and offer new challenges for me. Although I don't think a rematch makes sense to me, I would prefer something new. But if White says - there will be a rematch, no problem," Makhachev said at the press conference.
