Anthony Joshua observed the boxing match between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury firsthand. The event, held on Saturday night, concluded with Usyk winning by split decision. Joshua sat in the front row alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, witnessing a pivotal moment in round 9 when Usyk landed multiple powerful punches resulting in Fury's knockdown.

Post-fight, in a conversation with Eddie Hearn, Joshua initially stated, "Usyk was the clear winner." However, his view later softened to considering the match as potentially a draw, influenced by others' perspectives. Hearn himself provided a detailed analysis during an interview with BoxNation: "Most people think Usyk won the fight but I thought it was a fight of two halves."

The match has set the stage for significant future contests. Both fighters have shown interest in a rematch that might occur later this year. Moreover, complications with the IBF title could lead to Joshua fighting for the likely vacant title against Filip Hrgovic.
