Chris Eubank Jr. recently parted ways with his promoters, Sauerland and Wasserman Boxing. He announced his new status as a promotional free agent on the social media platform X. This significant change in his career occurred because of differing views on his path forward in boxing.
Eubank expressed disappointment in both firms' directions for his career. Sauerland had desired for him to compete for the IBO belt a third time. Meanwhile, in a joint statement, Wasserman Boxing described their journey with Eubank as an "emotional ride."
On X, Eubank emphasized the importance for fighters to build a competent legal and management team. He stressed selecting promoters that match their personal vision and aspirations.

Previously managed by trainers like Roy Jones Jr., Eubank now works with Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre. His managerial choices reflect this strategy of alignment as well. These changes follow after varying success in the ring; seven months ago, he avenged an earlier loss by defeating former middleweight champion Liam Smith.
Looking ahead, potential fights include a third bout against Liam Smith or challenges against Conor Benn and Janibek Alimkhanuly.
