Ukrainian IBF Inter-Continental welterweight champion Karen Chukhadjian shared his expectations from the fight against British Harry Scarff, which will take place on May 17 in Hamburg.
- Karen, on May 17 you will fight against Harry Scarff for the status of official challenger for the world title. What do you know about your opponent and what strengths can you emphasize?
- The opponent is tall, long-armed, viscous, rather uncomfortable, justifies his boxing nickname, the fight will definitely be difficult.
- If you win, you will fight again against the world champion Jaron Ennis. Remembering the first fight with him, how can you evaluate your performance?
- I didn't like my last performance against Ennis, not everything worked out, but the fight with him opened a lot of things we need to work on. Fighting in the USA in a big show, against a strong opponent is a good, valuable experience for me.
- Can you say that the rematch with him is more important and risky than the first fight?
- I don't want to look behind Scarff's back, any next fight is more important than the previous one.
- Coming back to the upcoming fight against Scarff, tell us how and where is the preparation for the fight?
- Preparation is held in Kiev under the guidance of my coach Vyacheslav Senchenko. We have 3 sparring partners, the preparation is going well, we are working for the result.
