Ortiz addressed his challenge directly to Bob Arum in Spanish on Wednesday. He said, "Good afternoon boxing fans, this is a message for Bob Arum. Bob Arum, if you are truly looking to test Jared Anderson - give him to me." He added assurance of an intense competition by stating, "I can assure [it] will be a great fight. And a nightmare for Jared Anderson."

Jared Anderson last fought at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, winning by unanimous decision against Ryad Merhy just last Saturday. At 24 years old and with an undefeated record of 17 wins no losses and 15 knockouts, Anderson is currently ranked No. 13 by the WBA.

Bob Arum previously mentioned the need for a brave opponent willing to challenge Anderson’s abilities. His intentions are clear as he stated they were seeking "a heavyweight who thinks he can actually beat Jared Anderson."

Ortiz’s callout is significant given his extensive experience and strong record (34-3, with 29 KOs). His recent performances show he remains a formidable competitor within the heavyweight division despite his age.

Luis Ortiz has been known for his powerful punching and resilience in the ring over many years. Meanwhile, Jared Anderson is rising rapidly in the heavyweight ranks under the tutelage of veteran promoter Bob Arum. This potential matchup could serve as a crucial test for both fighters - one looking to uphold his legacy and another aiming to build his.
