Blachowicz on injury: “I don’t think about retiring”

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz spoke about his injury, due to which he had to withdraw from the rematch against Alexandra Rakic.

“I started having problems with my shoulders about three years ago. I had come to terms with the fact that I was in pain, but in the last three months I had started to lose strength. I lost 40 percent of my strength, I tried physical therapy, I went to doctors, and they tried to fix it, but with every workout it only got worse.

Immediately after the operation I was told that recovery would take one month. But this is if you are 20 years old, and I am already 40, so it will take about two and a half months. I need to fight a few more fights. I’m not thinking about retiring from my career,” BJ Penn quotes Blachowicz.
